My name is Ayeen I am a mixed media folk artist. Waxwing and Willow is an expression of all the beauty i hope to create and celebrate in this holy life! I was raised up by the generous tending of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, pacific tide pools, and the rio grande tributaries. My love of the lands that raised me, their culture, and history is what influences my work. I am a willow basket weaver, watershed restorationist, and micaceous clay pottery. My hope is that through the stewardship of land and folk craft seeds for future generations will continue to sprout. It is a blessing to be here, thanks for joining me on this wild ride.
